BOOKING TERMS
We strongly recommend that the following terms and conditions be completely understood before booking any of our models. The Agency’s standard policies for bookings are governed by the terms and conditions below. The following terms and conditions are subject to change.
Bookings
The minimum time for all bookings is 4 hours unless the required time is negotiated prior to the booking. Every extra 15 minutes of work beyond the minimum of 4 hours will be rounded up to the next full hour. The length of the booking must be clearly specified at the time of booking, and the model must be paid for the agreed-upon length of time.
Rates
All model rates are negotiated separately. Any usage fees must be discussed with the agency at the time of booking. Any unauthorized "re-usage" for a period exceeding the agreed term will automatically be billed to you.
Day Rates
Full-day – 8 working hours (with a 30-minute break), including hair and makeup prep time.
Half-day – 4 working hours (with a 15-minute break), including hair and makeup prep time.
The full day or half-day rate must be paid in full even if the entire time is not used. The client is responsible for the model’s meals on full-day bookings.
Overtime
Any overtime beyond 15 minutes of an additional hour will be billed at a "time-and-a-half" rate unless a day rate has been negotiated.
Travel Time
Travel time will be charged at half of the model’s hourly rate. Whenever models are required to be at locations not easily accessible by public transportation, the client is responsible for any additional travel expenses, such as car service or taxi fare. These location include White Rock, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and BC Interior or Vancouver Island(s).
Makeup & Hair
Makeup and hair styling is included within the half-day or full-day rate.
Lingerie & Underwear
The client must specify the type of lingerie the model is to wear or bring at the time of booking. The lingerie rate is double the hourly rate, and this same rate applies if the model is required to wear transparent or translucent clothing or men's underwear, including briefs. If the model is requested to be nude, a triple hourly rate will apply. The client is required to provide a closed set and a private dressing room for models to change in and out of their outfits.
New Client Reference
First-time clients must be prepared to provide references. This may include your company’s registration information or references from a photographer, model, or an existing client of Model Made Management Inc. Additionally, first-time clients are required to pay a 50% deposit to Model Made Management Inc. prior to the commencement of services.
Cancellations
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours' notice will be charged at half the rate. Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays are excluded from these calculations. The agency reserves the right to cancel confirmed bookings with more than 48 hours' notice without charge.
Reshoot
Any “reshoot” will be payable to Model Made Management Inc. at 100% of the booking fee.
Weather-Permitting Bookings/Postponement
The "weather permitting" option must be stated at the time of booking. Your first cancellation due to inclement weather will be charged at half the rate, unless a weather date is specified, with the understanding that the model will be rebooked within 10 days. If the client fails to notify the agency of cancellation and the model arrives at the location, the client will be billed at the full rate. All postponements will be charged at the full rate if the same model is not rebooked.
Full Payment for Short-Notice Bookings
For bookings scheduled to occur within 48 hours of confirmation, the client agrees to pay the full booking fee at the time of confirmation. This payment is required to secure the model and ensure all arrangements are finalized promptly. Once payment is made, it is deemed non-refundable, except in cases where the agency cancels the booking.
Restrictions/Conflicts on a Model
A special buyout charge will apply if the model is involved in a job that will conflict with future work for competing products. It is the client’s responsibility to check for product conflicts when booking.
Client–Model Interaction
Model Made Management Inc. prohibits clients from attempting to solicit or employ any models or associates introduced through the agency. If you wish to work with one of our models, you must contact the booking department directly.
Usage(s)
All images of models/talent may only be used for the media specified during initial negotiations. Further usage, including sharing with other companies or posting on personal websites or blogs, is prohibited unless agreed upon in writing at the time of the booking. Models are not authorized to sign any release forms without approval from Model Made Management Inc. Any unauthorized releases signed by models will not be valid. All additional fees must be agreed upon at the time of booking.
Copyright
The photographer is not authorized to use or continue using any images taken of the model(s) without permission from the agency. All usage details must be discussed at the time of booking. Photographers are not permitted to use test or experimental photographs for their own commercial purposes without a written agreement. Clients who are not photographers must ensure the photographer agrees to these copyright terms.
Insurance
The client is responsible for the model's safety during work. Clients are strongly advised to provide insurance coverage when working in local or international locations. The client is responsible for risk assessments involving the location, equipment, and working conditions. Any known risks to health and safety must be discussed with the model’s agent at the time of booking.
Permits
The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits associated with the project. If the project does not comply with the laws of the country, state, or province, neither the models nor Model Made Management Inc. will be held responsible.
Complaints
Complaints must be reported to the agency immediately during the course of the booking, not afterward. Complaints will not be handled after the job is completed. It is the client’s responsibility to pay the full negotiated rate as per the contract. The model will not be responsible for hair styling, styling, or makeup unless agreed upon beforehand.
Indemnity
The agency cannot be held responsible for a model’s conduct during an assignment. Clients are advised to insure themselves against losses caused by the model's absence due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.
Terms and Service Fees
A 20% agency service fee will be charged on all bookings, whether all-inclusive or additional. This applies to all hourly and usage fees. All payments must be made to the agency.
Billing/Payments
All payments must be made to the agency, not directly to the model. Please note, first-time clients are required to pay in full prior to the service start. All bookings must be confirmed through email or phone. The client is fully obligated to pay Model Made Management Inc. once the model fulfills the duties specified in the assignment/contract. Payment is due to the agency, regardless of the client's financial situation. The use of photographs is prohibited until all fees have been paid to the agency. A 3.5% card processing service charge applies to credit card payments. No fee applies to eTransfer payments. Late payments will incur a 5% fee, compounded on the outstanding balance monthly until fully settled.
